Multivitamins are controversial. Some people swear by them to make-up for potential nutrient deficiencies and act as a nutritional “safety net”. Others claim the pills are just a waste of money and that most people don’t have any need for them.
So, should you take a multivitamin/multi-mineral supplement each morning?
Experts have identified four groups of people that are higher risk for deficiencies, and therefore display a greater need for these extra nutrients. If you’re in one of the groups listed below, it’s worthwhile to consider taking a supplement.
