Sarah Nicole’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I preach weight loss being a side effect of a healthy lifestyle because I know what it’s like to lose weight and fall short of anything considered self confidence or body positive. I got it all wrong. I’d been a bully to my body for far too long, so to think simply changing how it looked would somehow bring me to new happy heights was ludicrous. But I’m still glad I lost the weight. I’m glad that it forced me into self care. Because self care perpetuated the habit of care at all. I got in the habit of doing [it] for ME.

I encourage you today to remember this. To do right where I got it wrong. To perpetuate love throughout your transformation. Whether relational, body, career, or more: when we drive with hate we reach destinations of loathing. When we drive with love we reach destinations of fulfilment. It’s not an easy thing to start, but it can begin with simply redirecting that bully mentality within. It can move forward with simple acts and pushbacks on the things you wish were different or know in your heart are just unhealthy (mentally, physically, emotionally). It’s taking back the strongholds other people, places or things have on your life and heart. From there you can own it. Your life. ❤️” – Sarah

Chrissy’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“85 pounds gone ??I know it’s not always easy and I know we have days where we want to give up, but keep going. The ultimate goal is to be healthy but the perks of becoming healthy are pretty awesome as well. The most rewarding part of my new lifestyle is the extra energy I have: both from the weight loss itself and from a supplement I take called Phen Caps. I LOVE feeling good about myself. This year I’m planning a trip to an amusement park and a trip to go zip lining! I wouldn’t have even thought about that last year because of the weight restrictions.” – Chrissy

Kathleen’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I was 24, 330 lbs, and seriously sad. My life was nowhere near what I had imagined it to be when I was younger. Flash forward 2 short years ⏭ Now, I’m excited to plan for the future and even more excited to live in the present. I don’t dream about what my life could be, now I work to make it happen. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been (both mentally and physically) and I’m obscenely happy. Like so disgustingly happy that it makes me sick just thinking about it. I wish I could package this feeling up and give it away to everyone because it is the most amazing feeling. If you’re struggling right with your weight, your health, your career, school, friends, whatever; just keep going. Change is possible and your happiness is out there. Go get it, friends! ?” – Kathleen

Jessica’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“Yup… that was me.. STILL is me just on the left, I was bigger, unhealthier yet STILL happy but uncomfortable in my own body. Look where I am now, I am less than half the size I was. I didn’t give up. I stayed determined, consistent and I WAS MY OWN MOTIVATION. I know how bad I wanted to lose weight and to feel good and to be happy in my own body. I wanted the energy that other young adults had that I didn’t because my weight was too much. Not going to lie, I still have days which I’ve mentioned before where I feel like I look in the mirror and still see me as “bigger” of course not as big as I was, but still on the bigger side. It’s all mental and no one can change what goes on in my head but me.”- Jessica

Sydney: Lost 58 pounds!Sydney - weight loss motivation tips

Sydney’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“Please, PLEASE do NOT give up on yourself ?. There will be days where you just want to quit and stop going on. But it will get better, I promise! So far my weight loss journey has not been all sunshine and butterflies ? ??. I definitely struggle daily with myself as I’m a big binge eater. There are certain foods I cannot have in my house because I know I don’t have the self-control to say “only one bite”. AND THATS OKAY! No shame in that. I’m not mentally strong to resist at this point in my life.

I have you guys asking me “how do you stay motivated? How can you control your cravings”? And the answer always comes easy to me. I don’t ever want to go back to the way I was living before ??‍♀️. I was almost 300 pounds, 25 years old, at 5”4, and my body was in constant pain. Not to mention I was pre-diabetic and had high blood pressure (don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that).

I wanted a better life for myself. So that’s why I started my journey ? I completely changed my diet and started working out and now I feel so much better ??. I just want you guys to know that it’s okay to struggle! It’s okay to get upset!! You are definitely not the only ones who experiences those emotions? Just PLEASE don’t ever give up ? You deserve amazing health and happiness ? You got this !!!” – Sydney

Gianna’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I am always extremely hard on myself when it comes to my body. I often look in the mirror, and don’t see a change and nitpick every little imperfection. I then remind myself how far I have come from where I started. NOBODY is perfect. Imperfections are beautiful and what makes us all unique. Inner beauty will always be the most important thing to me. Be kind, honest & humble. Inspire one another and lift each other up during times we are feeling down. Believe in yourself and know you’re capable of achieving anything you put your mind to. The first step to my transformation was believing in myself & I believe in EVERY one of you. Spread ❤️&✌? always. ”– Gianna

Liz: Lost 100 pounds!lizababe0728 - weight loss motivation tips

Liz’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I used to have high blood pressure, high resting heart rate, exercise induced asthma, knee pain, lower back pain, sciatic nerve pain, chronic heartburn, GI issues including chronic diarrhea (TMI sorry not sorry) which was diagnosed as IBS, and moderate acne.

EVERY SINGLE ONE of those issues (with the exception of some occasional knee pain from squatting heavy) has resolved with my weight loss. I sleep better, I feel better, I live a better quality of life because I don’t have those health issues anymore. It’s crazy to think how you don’t even realize how bad you really feel until you feel really good. Looking back even a “good day” in my old body was a struggle and I didn’t even know it. Today I feel so incredible (if somewhat tired from my training program) that I will do EVERYTHING IT TAKES to NEVER go back to that place again.” – Liz

Nguyen: Lost 70 pounds!justnyg - weight loss motivation tips

Nguyen’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

You can NEVER expect to SUCCEED if you only put in work on the days you FEEL like it… The most important days for me to get a workout are the days I don’t want to. I take the time to look back on where I use to be and I use that as fuel to keep going and pushing. I won’t lie i have some hard days but all i do is simply do what i can take a quick breather and leave if i have to the come back and FINISH. Because what’s most important isn’t how you’re doing it, it’s that you don’t QUIT and you FINISH what you started. ??” – Nguyen

Kathryn: Lost 77 pounds!kdinspiredlife - weight loss motivation tips

Kathryn’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I like the hashtag #weightlossjourney because it captures the idea that losing weight is something more than just numbers going down on a scale. Embracing a healthy lifestyle is an evolving journey that is unique to each person. We will all have different challenges to overcome as we work in ourselves. Emotional overeating and binging was an issue that continually sabotaged my progress. I would commit to a diet and exercise program and do really well for a while but something would happen and I would turn to food for distraction or comfort, to feel good (at least in the moment) and start undoing all my hard work. Once I discovered the tools to manage that destructive cycle I was able to sustain my progress.” – Kathryn

Kimberly: Lost 131 pounds!lovinglessofmemore - weight loss motivation tips

Kimberly’s Weight Loss Motivation Tip:

“I spent so much of my life in jeans and sweatshirts. It was like I had this secret I felt desperate to hide. And, if I covered my body, maybe nobody would discover it. Maybe I could fool everyone into thinking I was thin. I’m throwing it back to March 2016, during a family trip to the beach. I spent the whole time pretending that I was cold so I had an excuse to cover up because I was so afraid of what others thought of me. I wish I could go back and tell that girl that nobody cares. And even if they do, it doesn’t matter.

This is your life and these are your memories. Let those moments be filled with genuine happiness, not a desperate attempt to stay hidden because some stranger might find you unattractive. My body isn’t perfect, it’s embroidered with stretch marks and dimples… but it’s mine. And it’s just as deserving of celebration today as it was two years ago. I talk a lot about what I would say to that girl if I could go back in time, but the reality is I can’t do that. Instead, I can do what she didn’t have the courage yet to do. I can wear my skin proudly and celebrate everything my body is, instead of wasting another moment feeling ashamed of what it isn’t ♥️” – Kimberly
